Alcomex celebrated its 25th birthday on 19 May. The founder and former owner, Fred Baas, and his wife, Gera Baas, together with the new co-owners, Messrs Conrad Hietink and Jelle van Vliet, celebrated the company’s birthday with its Dutch team in Opmeer.
Messrs Fred Baas and René Kalkhuis established Alcomex Nederland 25 years ago.
In the past 25 years a dynamic business has been developed which specialises in research, development, and the sale and distribution of a wide range of technical springs and standard spring products in the European market. Over time a company has evolved with modern research, development, production and distribution centres in Opmeer (the Netherlands), Brno (the Czech Republic), Goch (Germany), Zielonka and Nędza (Poland), Pune (India) and Paris (France).
In July 2016 Mr Fred Baas transferred ownership of the company to Messrs Conrad Hietink and Jelle van Vliet, who have continued to guide Alcomex along a successful path. The dynamic culture which Alcomex’s staff have developed has ensured that its continuity has evolved further. Without its staff, Alcomex would not be where it is now after 25 years.
As gratitude for what Alcomex’s staff have contributed to it, on the morning of its 25th anniversary, Mr Fred Baas gave a commemorative speech and thanked Alcomex’s staff for the past 25 years. Following his speech, Mr and Ms Baas handed out special presents to the company’s staff, including a special, silver 25th anniversary coin, which Messrs Baas and Kalkhuis (the founders) exhibited.
