Alcomex’s aim is to use the term “one stop shop” which in practice means that we like be involved from the start or a project up to the development and production of springs. By being involved with the spring configuration, the required forces and the mounting space, from the start of the project, we can make optimal use of our experience and knowledge.
While determining the scope there will also be attention for the manufacturability and cost aspects and, if necessary, the design and system will be adjusted. An important design criterium has been established in Fit-Form-Function, in relation to the application, when the spring is being used.
Pre-pressing is recommended in case springs need to work under high tension. In practice, the setting is always done under normal circumstances, however, springs that are used at higher temperatures, should be set at these temperatures.
